Claude resume skill workflow

A Claude resume skill without prompt upkeep

If you use Claude to tailor resumes, you already know the pattern: give it your resume, paste the job, ask for a match and rewrite, then copy the result somewhere safe. Vitaeo turns that pattern into a guided product workflow with a resume library and exports.

Quick Start

Add a resume and job description to get started.

Free to start · 5 optimizations every month · PDF, Markdown, and text export

What you get before you apply

Stop rebuilding the prompt

The job-description comparison, rewrite request, and output structure are already wired into the optimization flow.

Keep the useful part

You still get a match analysis, targeted suggestions, recommended skills, and a separate tailored resume for review.

Own the next application

Store each tailored version by role, export it as PDF, Markdown, or text, and reuse your master resume without losing prior versions.

From chat prompt to repeatable workflow

A prompt can draft a resume once. A product workflow helps you run the same quality bar again for the next role without assembling instructions from memory.

  • Upload or paste your master resume once.
  • Paste the exact JD for the role you want.
  • Get a structured result instead of a blank chat page.
  • Save and name each role-specific resume for future review.

What Vitaeo adds around the AI step

Vitaeo is an independent web app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Claude or Anthropic. It uses AI through OpenRouter and adds application-workflow surfaces around the model step.

  • A PDF resume parser and text input.
  • A guided resume-plus-JD input flow.
  • Match analysis, optimization suggestions, and skill recommendations in one report.
  • A resume library plus clean export formats.

Better than a one-off answer

The output is still a draft, but it is connected to the job you are applying to and kept with your other applications.

  • Compare requirements against evidence before rewriting.
  • Review each change before sending the application.
  • Avoid asking a chat to remember the last six versions.

Before and after one run

Prompt-by-prompt
  • You paste the same instructions and constraints each time.
  • The latest tailored resume becomes just another chat thread.
  • Export formatting and version history are manual.
Application-by-application
  • The input, report, draft, and export live in one flow.
  • Each job gets its own version and optimization record.
  • Your master resume stays separate from role-specific drafts.

Questions applicants ask

Does Vitaeo use Claude?+

Vitaeo routes AI requests through OpenRouter. It is not affiliated with Claude or Anthropic, and model availability depends on the configured route.

Can I use my own Claude API key?+

Vitaeo supports a bring-your-own-key mode through its AI settings. BYOK runs do not consume plan credits, subject to the provider and model you select.

Is this better than a Claude resume prompt?+

A prompt is flexible for one-off drafting. Vitaeo is useful when you want a repeatable flow, structured reports, PDF export, and a library of job-specific resumes.

Should I let AI rewrite my resume?+

Use AI to compare, rewrite, and suggest, then review every line. Keep only statements you can prove and explain in an interview.

"You should tailor your CV to the job or opportunity you're applying for."
