Overview

This policy explains how Vitaeo collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our AI resume optimization service. It applies to the website and service operated by Vitaeo. Separate terms may apply to third-party providers; where relevant, review their policies as well.

Information We Collect

Account data: your email address and authentication data. Supabase manages authentication credentials, and Vitaeo cannot read your password. Profile data: information such as your name or avatar if you provide it. Resume and job data: extracted resume content, job titles and requirements you submit, and AI-generated optimization results. Billing data: plan, subscription status, credit balance, and related customer or subscription identifiers; Creem handles checkout and payment details as merchant of record. Technical data: security logs, error logs, timestamps, IP address, browser or device information, and similar data used to operate and protect the service.

AI Processing

When you request optimization, Vitaeo sends the relevant resume content and job description through OpenRouter to an AI provider in order to generate match analysis, optimization suggestions, recommended skills, and an optimized resume. Please do not submit information you are not comfortable sending to these providers. We do not sell your resume content or use it for advertising.

Use, Legal Bases, and Sharing

We process data to perform our contract with you, with your consent where applicable, for legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, and to meet legal obligations. We use data to operate your account, run optimization, enforce plan limits, provide support, process payments, prevent abuse, and comply with law. We share data with Supabase for authentication and database services, Creem for payments and merchant-of-record services, OpenRouter and AI providers for optimization, and necessary infrastructure or support providers. We may also disclose data when legally required or to protect rights and safety.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use essential authentication cookies to keep you signed in and keep your selected language and theme. If you choose to save an optional master resume, its extracted text is stored in your browser's local storage on this device until you remove it in the workspace or clear your browser data. We do not use advertising cookies.

Retention and Deletion

We retain account data until you delete your account, and resume, job, and AI-result data until you delete the item or your account. Operational and security logs are retained only as long as needed for those purposes. Creem may retain transaction and tax records where required by law. If you have an active subscription, cancel it from Billing before deleting your account.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, export, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Settings provides data export and account deletion, and profile fields can be corrected there or in the product. You may contact us with a privacy request or complain to your local supervisory authority.

Security

We use HTTPS for data in transit, access controls, least-privilege service credentials, and server-side handling of secrets. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please contact us if you become aware of a security issue.

International Transfers and Children

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. We rely on appropriate safeguards where required. Vitaeo is not directed to children under 16, and you must not use the service if you are under 16.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. The updated date will change, and material notices will be provided where practical. Continued use after an update means you accept the current policy.
